| The International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) was established in 1968 as a non-profit educational foundation based in Geneva, Switzerland. There are more than 611,000 IB students at 2,300 schools in 127 countries. The IB offers a wide range of services to the schools authorized to administer its programmes, such as curriculum and assessment development, teacher training, and seminars. There are three programmes for students aged 3 to 19 designed to develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. The Primary Years Programme for students ages 3-12, the Middle Years Programme for students ages 11-16 and the Diploma Programme for students ages 16-19.
